Rail to River
The Metro Rail to River Project in South Los Angeles is a 6.5-mile “rails-to-trails” greenway connectivity project linking the Los Angeles River to two Metro light rail transit lines along Slauson Avenue. Lyric’s multi-faceted role involved urban design studies, existing conditions analysis, infrastructural programming, community engagement, and design synthesis.
Siobhán bicycled numerous trail systems as part of her research, prepared stormwater capture studies, heat island analysis, 3d technical studies, and Design Development drawings.
Lyric collaborated with civil engineers, transportation planners, landscape architects, lighting designers, graphic designers and the community to generate a safe and resilient design plan for cool pavement and eco-restorative bioswales.
